🧠 1. Who do you work with?

I work with children (ages 6+), teens, and adults who are navigating challenges such as trauma, ADHD, Autism Level 1, anxiety, depression, or substance use. I provide a safe and affirming space for neurodivergent clients, highly sensitive individuals, and those in emotional distress.

🛋️ 2. Do you offer in-person or telehealth therapy?

Yes.

  • In-person sessions are available at 271 Whispering Hills Dr. Hendersonville, NC.

  • Telehealth sessions are offered throughout North Carolina using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

Both options are available based on your needs and preferences.

🔍 3. What issues do you specialize in?

I specialize in supporting clients who are dealing with:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • ADHD (including late diagnosis)

  • Autism Level 1

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, or shutdown

  • Sensory sensitivity and emotional dysregulation

  • Stress from life transitions and burnout

⚙️ 4. What therapy approaches do you use?

I use a combination of evidence-based and trauma-informed therapies, including:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

  • Strength-based and person-centered therapy
    We’ll choose the approach that best fits your goals and needs.

💬 5. What should I expect from the first session?

The first session is about connection and understanding. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns. I’ll ask about your history, but we’ll go at your pace. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, and we’ll create a plan together.

⏱️ 6. How long are sessions and how often do we meet?

  • Standard sessions last 50 minutes.

  • We typically meet once a week, especially early on.

  • We may shift to biweekly or customize the schedule as needed.

  • EMDR intensives or longer sessions are available when clinically appropriate.

💳 7. Do you take insurance?

Yes. I accept insurance through:

  • Headway

This platform works with most major insurance providers, including Blue Cross NC, Aetna, Cigna, and others. I also offer private pay options.

💵 8. How much does therapy cost without insurance?

Session fees typically cost $125.​

  • A limited number of sliding scale spots may be available—please ask during your consultation.

🔐 10. Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything you share is kept confidential, with a few exceptions required by law:

  • If there’s risk of serious harm to yourself or others

  • If there’s abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult

  • If required by a court order
    We’ll go over this in detail during your intake.

❌ 11. What’s your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. I understand that life happens, and I’ll do my best to be flexible.

💡 12. What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

That’s completely okay. Let’s talk it through. I offer a free consultation to help you decide if therapy (and working with me) is the right fit. If I’m not the best match, I’ll help connect you with someone who is.
