About Kevin Link Jr., LCMHC
Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, working through trauma, struggling with depression, grief or facing a difficult life transition, you deserve a place where you feel heard, respected, and supported.
My goal is to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you can openly share your experiences, better understand what you're going through, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.
Therapy is not about having someone tell you what to do. It is a collaborative process where we work together to identify your goals and create a path toward lasting change.
Why I Chose to Become a Counselor
I became a counselor because I saw how difficult it can be for people to find compassionate, high-quality mental health care when they need it most. Seeking therapy takes courage. Finding someone who truly listens, genuinely cares, and takes the time to understand your story shouldn't be another obstacle.
That belief continues to guide my work today. Whether I'm meeting with a child, teen, or adult, my goal is to help each person better understand themselves, overcome the challenges that brought them to therapy, and develop practical skills that create meaningful, lasting change.

Kevin Link, MA, NCC, LCMHC, I provide therapy for children, teens, and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, and other emotional challenges. I offer in-person counseling in Hendersonville and secure online therapy throughout North Carolina using a compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach.
A Personalized Approach to Therapy
No two people have the same story, which is why I believe therapy should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client brings unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. Together, we'll create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs, goals, and pace.
Depending on your situation, treatment may include:
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies
-
Mindfulness-based techniques
-
Trauma-informed counseling
These evidence-based approaches can help reduce emotional distress, build resilience, improve coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting change.

My Counseling Philosophy
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be honest about their experiences and supported enough to begin trying something different.
I work alongside you to understand what's happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and help you develop healthier ways of coping and moving forward.
I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions, learning about themselves, and building skills they can continue using long after therapy ends.
What You Can Expect
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if it's your first experience with counseling. Many people aren't sure what to expect or worry about saying the "right" thing. There is no perfect way to begin.
My role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges, and develop practical skills that create meaningful, lasting change. Along the way, I'll provide compassion, honest feedback, evidence-based guidance, and encouragement as we work together toward the goals that matter most to you.
Every person's journey is different. Some challenges improve more quickly than others, but my commitment is to help you continue making meaningful progress while equipping you with tools that support lasting emotional well-being.
